Twin Steeples Creative Arts Center featured a variety of visual artists this month, including Charles Rudolph Wright, Phillip Colwart and Maria Griener.

Phillip Colwart is a certified professional photographer with a background in broadcasting at Hammond. Colwart spent 14 years as an audiovisual producer for the Neill Corporation where his talent for photography was developed.

Since opening his studio in 2003, Colwart has served on several photography-based boards and contributed photography to the Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation, Southeastern Louisiana University, Crimestoppers of Tangipahoa, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep and other causes.

Charles Rudolph Wright is a painter whose passion for art began in 1977. Wright channels his love of history, music and women into his stylistic and figurative portraits. Her work has been exhibited at multiple outlets in New Orleans, Hammond, Ponchatoula, and St. Tammany Parish, as well as Detroit, and was included in a special exhibition in 2013 for the Rankin/Bass 50th anniversary of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in Los Angeles.

Maria Griener is a professional gardener and mixed weaver from Hammond. Using found objects, natural materials such as pine needles, and her 20 years of gardening experience, Griener has created her own technique that connects art and the natural world in “endless expressions. of the spiral”.
