Solo Leveling Anime Officially Confirmed With First Visual Teaser

Solo Leveling is one of the most popular Korean manhwas of this decade, which ended last year after giving us an incredible 179 chapters. Ever since the D&C webtoon series became popular, fans have wondered if the manhwa would get an anime adaptation.

A few days after the release of its latest chapter, rumors surfaced on the internet that Solo Leveling would indeed be getting an anime. However, at the time, there was no official statement from any animation studio or D&C on this. Anyway, five months after the conclusion of manhwa, we finally have the official confirmation of the Solo Leveling anime. On the second day of Anime Expo 2022, Aniplex, A1 Pictures, and Crunchyroll announced that the anime adaptation is currently in production.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Solo Leveling will stream on Crunchyroll, and it’s slated for release sometime in 2023. Unfortunately, the studio didn’t give us an exact release date, but we have something else you might be excited about for the anime. Apparently, Crunchyroll released a new teaser to announce the anime adaptation. The promo video does not contain any clips from the anime and only features amazing panels from the manhwa. However, we do have a teaser visual that gives us our first look at the story’s main protagonist, Jin-Woo.

DUBU, one of the original creators of Solo Leveling, also shared his excitement for the anime adaptation. “Solo Leveling is finally making its anime debut. It feels like yesterday that we got the offer for the anime adaptation. I feel so overwhelmed when I think anime is really being made right nowsaid DUBU in his statement.

A-1 Pictures will work on the animation for Solo Leveling, and Shunsuke Nakashige will serve as director. According to the announcement, Noboru Kimura is working on the script while Tomoko Sudo is handling character designs. Other than that, we don’t know much about the anime’s production, and the studio has yet to reveal the main Solo leveling cast. Of course, everyone is fussing about who will be voicing Jin-Woo in the series, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to get that answer.
