Rammstein offers a guided stage tour for visually impaired fans

Rammstein is reaching out to its visually impaired fans by offering a guided exploration of their live stage, designed specifically for these listeners, amid their ongoing (and extremely loud) concert tour of Europe and North America this summer.

This week, the prominent German industrial metal band appealed to all spectators attending their upcoming concerts in Norway, Sweden and Belgium who may be visually impaired or have low vision. A “pass or official document from a medical professional” is required to participate in the offer, as well as proof of purchase of a ticket for the particular Rammstein concert.

The special concert package will also be offered to Rammstein fans in the United States and Canada during the band’s upcoming North American dates in August and September. (Get tickets here.)

This is what Rammstein explained in an announcement on Twitter Thursday, July 21. “Are you blind and do you have a ticket for the Rammstein show in Oslo, Gothenburg or Ostend?” asked the outfit. “Rammstein invites you to touch and experience the scene on a guided tour! Also available in North America.”

The offer has apparently already attracted some die-hard Rammstein fans. A online fan post shows a listener who would have been named Jonna Heynke meets Rammstein lead singer Till Lindemann after a recent live gig, with the fan touching his face to check out his features. In April, Rammstein released their eighth studio album, Time. It contains the singles “Dicke Titten”, “Zick Zack” and the title track. The effort follows Rammstein’s 2019 untitled album.
