My Hero Academia Season 6 premiere October 1 reveals new key visual

The upcoming sixth season of my hero academia The premiere is scheduled for October 1, 2022. The anime production team also revealed a new key visual for the series, featuring Izuku Midoriya and his allies taking on Tomura Shigaraki and members of the Paranormal Liberation Front.


Season 5’s main production staff returning to their respective roles includes Kenji Nagasaki as senior director, Masahiro Mukai as director, Studio Orphee’s Yousuke Kuroda as a screenwriter for series, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima as character designers, and Yuuki Hayashi as a music composer. Bones again handling animation production for season six.

Additionally, all voice cast members from previous seasons of my hero academia return to reprise their roles.

The first season aired in April 2016, with the fifth season airing from March 2021 to September 2021. Three anime original movies were also released, along with two OVAs that were screened theatrically from June 16, 2022 to June 19, 2022.

my hero academia is based on Kouhei Horikoshithe manga series of the same name. It was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on July 7, 2014, and has released 35 tankoubon volumes as of July 2022. The series is published under the Jump Comics label.

Crunchyroll streamed all seasons of my hero academia and will do the same for the sixth season. He describes the series as follows:

Izuku has dreamed of being a hero all his life – a lofty goal for anyone, but especially difficult for a child without superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some sort of super-powered “weird”, Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal.
