Don’t Play With Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 2 Reveal Visual Teaser, January 2023 Premiere

The previously announced Don’t Play With Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 2 revealed a visual teaser. The second season of the anime is titled 2nd attack and will premiere in January 2023. Studio OLM will host the sequel.

In addition to the new studio, Miss Nagatoro Season 2 the anime also revealed the staff. Shinji Ushiro will direct, with Taku Kishimoto on series composition. Character designer Misaki Suzuki is back and Gin is composing the music.

The anime’s first season was animated by Telecom Animation Film and aired during the Spring 2021 anime season. It had 12 episodes. The main cast included Sumire Uesaka and Daiki Yamashita who voiced Hayase Nagatoro and Naoto Hachioji respectively. The main duo also returns for the sequel. The additional cast includes:

  • Nana Mizuki as Bucho
  • Mikako Komatsu as Maki
  • Aina Suzuki as Yoshi
  • Shiori Izawa as Sakura

The anime is based on a web manga by Nanashi. Anime Corner recently interviewed Nanashi, who wanted to write a story about a character like Nagatoro but ended up making it into a romantic comedy. The manga started publishing in 2017 on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket online service and currently has 108 chapters which have been compiled into 13 volumes. Kodansha US has also licensed the manga in English and describes the plot as follows:
Nagatoro is a high school freshman who loves teasing and torturing her older classmate! What is her motivation and why does Senpai support her? Does Nagatoro just want to create misery for Senpai? Or maybe she secretly loves him?
